Psalm 37 – “Delight Yourself in the Lord”

Hello Friends,

I’ve uploaded an instrumental that I’ve written entitled ” Delight Yourself”.  It’s based out of Psalm 37:4.  The word “delight” in the Hebrew language simple means to be pliable in the Lord.  We are reminded of this in Jeremiah when the prophet speaks in terms of us being the clay and that He (Our Father ) is the potter.  Our posture as believers is to have a soft heart.  A heart that is pliable.  One that is led by the Holy Spirit.

The overarching  message in Psalm 37 is to put our trust in Him!  The Psalm begins by saying, ” do not fret because of evildoers – nor be envious of them…..Trust in the Lord and do good…delight in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.”  In verse 5 it again mentions trust….” Trust in Him.”  And finally, Psalm 37 ends with this…” He shall deliver them from the wicked, because they trust in Him.”

So…….the idea for this song is for you to open your Bible to Psalm 37 – press play on the site and read this chapter as you hear the song being played.

Blessings and I hope you enjoy this composition!

HONDURAS UPDATE – December 29th

Hello Friends,

As you can see “Casa de la Luz” is moving along.  God is good!  As of today the interior doors are being prepped, cabinets are being built and all the details are coming together. Thank you to all who have supported this mission.

Our team was suppose to be there in Honduras ( Dec. 21-28th ) but due to civil unrest our trip has been postponed until June 17-24.

More to come…………..

Fathers Joy 2017!

What a year!  As 2017 comes to a close it’s not only important to look ahead but, it’s also important to stop and see where you’ve come from and rejoice in what the Father has accomplished.

We are reminded that this ministry’s title is the meaning of our firstborn’s name, Abigail. Our prayer has always been that we would bring joy to Him!  Our heart is still the same today as it was when He started this ministry in 2014.   We want to bring a smile to His face through music, missions, and mentoring.

In the area of music, we have helped start a Saturday service at Church For All Nations where Bridget and I lead worship every week.  FathersJoy has also been involved in the Pavilion at Gig Harbor once a month in leading the body of Christ into worship and intercession for this northwest region.  In October, we partnered with Missio Dei ( our friends church – Pastor Tony and Shanda) in Salt Lake City, Utah in leading a night of worship as well as conducting a teaching on worship with our hosts worship team and guests from Boise Bible College.  Our hope in 2018 is to travel a bit more and partner with friends to do more Pavilion Events in strategic places.

In the area of missions, we have partnered with Fathers Grace Ministries to help build Casa de la Luz in Rio Maria, Honduras.  In July, Mark went to Honduras to brake ground on this mission house and by December we are 85% done with the building project.  In June, Bridget and I will lead a team of 11 people to spread the Gospel of God’s love to the surrounding area as well as add some finishing touches to the mission house.  We also continue to partner with Cleon, our dear friend we met over 20 years ago, who is a missionary to Albania.   Cleon is connected with YWAM and is a vital part of that ministry in Albania.  We were also able to host Eitan, our dear friend at Tents of Mercy, who ministered at Church for All Nations at our Saturday and Sunday services.  Not only do we want to continue ministering in Honduras, Albania, and Israel in 2018 but our hope is to expand in our relationships in order to help people experience God’s presence all over the world!  With your help we have been able to sow over $5000.00 into missions this year! Thanks so much!

In the area of mentoring, we have been busy pouring into the worship team at Lev Adonai ( our congregation that meets on Saturday’s).  Also, we have been pouring into our 2 oldest kids.  Abigail is flourishing in her love and desire for God – she is growing in Him and will graduate in 2018 from GK High School.  Abigail has been helping lead worship in the youth and is being used to encourage young people to follow hard after God.  Samuel, is growing as a worshiper.  He is our main drummer but occasionally leads worship from the keyboard at Church For All Nations.  God has entrusted us with these guys and we only have them for a couple of more years so we are spending much time pouring into these guys and we are seeing God’s hand on them in a mighty way.  We have also had many opportunities to connect by phone with young men whom we have mentored in the past.  In fact, Andrew an awesome young worship leader / song writer came up for the weekend during December.  It was refreshing to see God’s hand on Andrew’s life.  We were able to lead worship together while he was here and we also found some time to show a southern boy what a real mountain ( Mount Rainier) looks like.  Our hope in 2018 is for God to send us more young men and women who desire to be psalmists for the Lord.

In closing,  we want to thank you for your friendship, your love, and your support.  There are many great things happening in the Kingdom of God and for you to give you prayer and support to this ministry is humbling.  We could not do this without you !

The Moses’ thank you and ask for your continued prayer and support in 2018.

An update from the Moses’

Hello All,
Bridget and I just got back from a God-ordained trip to Utah to minister with some life-long friends of ours.  It so impacted us and gave us a glimpse into some even greater things God has for Father’s Joy.  Many of you know Ryan and Jacque Howard.  The came from Arcadia, California and met us in Utah, where we partnered with Tony and Shanda Simoncini at their community of Mission Dei in South Jordan.  Gods’ presence was powerful in that place as we worshipped, taught some key principles to students from BBC and encouraged the worship team there.
We’ve gathered here with some other friends once-a-month at the Pavilion Gig Harbor to open the heavens over their city to see what God wants to do there.  Last month( October ) their mayoral candidate showed up to check it out.  We took time to pray with him and his wife and the Lord was ministering to them during worship.  He won the election in November by a landslide! Thank you Jesus!
In Rio Maria, Honduras – Casa de La Luz is being built!  Our mission house ( that we are partnering with David and Nohemy Lawson of Father’s Grace Ministries) is well on its way.  Bridget and I will be taking a team of 13 people  in December to help complete the missionary base house and begin ministry there.

A few things we want to leave you with –
– If you have a or know of a place / time / gathering Father’s Joy can have an opportunity to “open a portal” to Heaven through worship and ministry let us know!
–  Please pray for us.  Pray for our kids, as some territories God places you in can be more challenging for kids than others! Abigail and Samuel both have life decisions to make ( college career, ect ). and we only want God’s purposes and desires for their lives.  Pray for them as they seek the Lord!
– Check out our new FACEBOOK page where you can join us in times of worship & ministry!
– Pray about if God would have you give so we can continue doing what God has called us to do!
Much Love,
Mark & Bridget Moses

HONDURAS 2017

Dear Friends of Fathers Joy,

2004 was the beginnings of Father’s Joy!  Our first born’s name is Abigail and means “father’s joy.”  Bridget and I have purposed in our hearts to bring joy to our Father’s face with everything we do.  Music, missions, and mentoring is the heart of how we operate.

Our journey has been quite adventuresome but not without many victories and accomplishments for His kingdom!  We have been a part of mentoring and sending  young worship leaders on to lead congregations all over the United States, we have been a part of planting churches here in the United States and Honduras, we have been a part of helping Integrity Music get their music to the world and our music has been sung in many different nations.  We boast in the Lord with these things – its all for Him !

Currently we are in the Northwest serving as Executive Pastors at Church for All Nations as well as leading area-wide nights of worship and prayer. Our heart is to see the nations worship!

Recently we have been praying and seeking God on what’s next for Father’s Joy. Although we are still waiting on the Lord in some areas we believe the Lord has been given us an opportunity in the area of “missions” to help further God’s Kingdom in Honduras.

We are excited to let you know that we will be partnering with David and Nohemy ( she has been our translator/preacher in Honduras since 2007) to help them build a ministry house that will be a hub for missions teams in Rio Maria.  This house  will provide ongoing ministry to the poor and needy the widows and orphans in the region of Rio Maria and beyond.

In 2007, we planted a church ( many of you were a huge part of this ) in Honduras which has just celebrated it’s 10 year anniversary.  Pastor’s Omar and Nora Morazon and their leadership team have done a tremendous job in reaching the community of Sambo Creek.  This past January their VBS hosted over 350 kids that heard the gospel.  We are grateful for them and their service furthering God’s Kingdom.

Now we have another opportunity just a few miles down the road in Rio Maria, Honduras.

Construction has already started and we would like to have our first team from the United States in 2017 of this year.

It’s a large vision but David and Nohemy are called to spend most of their time in Honduras ministering to the needs of the people in Rio Maria as well as partnering with other ministries in the area to help the hurting and broken learn about Christ but also to help them get back on their feet back into society in order to make the light of Christ brighter.

Thank you for loving and supporting us through the years – we desire to see Him overtake you with His love and that you would operate in freedom as you live out His plan for your lives.

Blessings,

Mark Moses

June 28, 2016

“Seasons Change” – this phrase brings new meaning here in the NorthWest. It’s late June and the high today is 60˚. I’m not complaining by any means. It’s just different.
As we walk through life there are many twists and turns – long stretches of the “same old” and some days that bring mountain top experiences that you want to camp out and never descend. Life is exciting! Especially with Jesus our Messiah! But along with the journey requires a soft heart that is attentive to the Holy Spirit and His leading – this can only be apprehended by spending time with Him.
Today, I watched my two oldest children head to their departing gate en route to Mobile to be with family and friends for a month of summer fun. It was surreal – to say the least. The two that were once just little girls and boys playing on the floor with papa are now heading off on there own to a far away place – to make decisions for themselves and hopefully make good ones! Seasons do change and I know this is only preparation for a season change in their near future.
Things are shifting in the natural for the Moses’ – many things – things I’m not sure I’m ready for but none the less they are approaching. I know He will help us. But even more so there are major things changing in the spiritual realm.
Recently, I had the opportunity to speak at El Shaddai Ministries while Pastor Mark was gone and part of the message I gave came from Numbers 1 – it had to do with the tribes preparing for entry into the promise land. A census was taken to position each tribe in its place as they followed the cloud by day and the fire by night. They were being trained to operate in their rightful places. In preparing for the message I sensed that God was and is preparing our hands for war. I don’t know exactly what all that entails and I’m okay with that – I just know He is awakening the warrior in all of us to stand up and be confident in the good news of His Kingdom that He has given us to share – to be confident in the hope that only He can extend (by using us) to a hurting people all over the world.
Interesting enough the central part of the formation found in Numbers chapter 1 was the presence of God. Judah led, the tabernacle was to be in the middle of the formation at all times whether moving or resting, and each tribe was positioned around “the presence”. Without His presence as Moses said, “ I’m not going.”
I believe the season of war is speedily approaching and although modern congregational worship has strayed from the element of waring in worship David is very aware of this concept as he states in Psalm 144:1,
“Blessed be the LORD my Rock, who traineth my hands for war, and my fingers for battle; “
The season of war is crucial. As battles are decided, land is dispersed, and loss or gain is fully realized. Although the season of war is crucial the season of training is much more important. It’s where battle plans are perfected, positions are practiced and formations are procured. Each person finds there place and readies themselves for victory. It’s in the training that one gets prepared.
Amidst the changes in of our lives as believers, let us remember – He is the same yesterday, today and forever! We must live our lives with this in mind, “Everything we do must first be birthed out of time spent with Him no matter the season.”
